Access Training & Seminars
Access audits, training & consultancy,
delivered by the very best.
We’re extremely proud to partner with Access for All UK — technical access consultants with first-hand experience of disability. Together, we deliver a range of specialist services to help organisations better understand and enhance their accessibility.
Access For All UK provides access consultancy, auditing, training and business support services to organisations in all sectors throughout the U.K. As well as being professional access auditors, healthcare and training professionals, Jane Cooper and Gillian Scotford are also parents to six children. Three of them are severely disabled, so they know first-hand the many challenges this can bring.
Changing Places Training. We are the only provider of Changing Places training in the U.K. Having campaigned for these very special facilities for many years, this is something we are especially proud to offer. This unique programme covers:
Autism Awareness Training. Each having an autistic child makes Jane and Gillian well placed to educate at a theoretical level, but also at a very practical level. This extremely interactive programme enables delegates to explore autism in depth, including:
One of our most popular services
are our Changing Places seminars. These free half-day sessions are typically
held in Doncaster, to discuss the benefits of Changing Places toilets, as well
as answer a host of FAQs. Lunch is provided, plus you’ll have chance to network
with delegates from other local authorities and leading UK tourist attractions.
Access Audits. The team have years of experience in evaluating the accessibility of venues large and small. Their unique ‘Access Tracker’ evaluates the information, facilities, and services that you provide.
Each stage of your ‘visitor journey’ is considered from the perspective of people with hearing impairment, vision impairment, mobility impairment, autism, learning disabilities and dementia.
A comprehensive report documents ‘quick wins’ (at little or no cost), as well as medium /longer-term recommendations. A ready-made action plan will help get you started, with an ‘Accessibility Toolkit’ to support you throughout your project.
Sensory Audits. For venues who have already undertaken a traditional audit of their ‘physical’ accessibility, our sensory audits offer an added insight into your organisation’s provision for neuro-diverse visitors – particularly people with Autism, learning disabilities, or dementia.
With recommendations for the short, medium and longer term, this evaluation of your current provision will identify the practical things you can do to ensure your offering reaches wider audiences.
Other training includes Access For All Training; Accessibility Champion Training; Creating an Accessible Destination; and Marketing Your Accessibility.
If you’ve any questions about our access training or audits, please get in touch.
Leading the way in accessible tourism in Britain, if not in Europe.
