Process & Timescales

Our turnkey service covers everything from your initial feasibility study to the design, build, delivery and installation of your CP Pod (plus any associated groundworks and building works).

10-Week Build Programme

A typical build programme for our most popular product, the CP Pod, is ten-weeks. This includes lead times for all materials and specialist equipment.

Order Materials (Weeks 1-5). Whilst we hold most build materials in stock, we allow a 4-5 week lead time for steel frame fabrication, as well as the delivery of specialist equipment and any bespoke items.

Manufacture Pod (Weeks 5-9). This captures everything, includingthe initial floor, wall and roof installation; insulation and cladding; first and second-fix electrics, plumbing and joinery; plus the installation and testing of all specialist equipment.

Groundworks (Weeks 8-9). If required, we prepare your site, including any demolition works and waste removal. We dig-out, prepare service runs, install the most suitable foundation system (concrete slab, pad system, groundscrews etc.); and complete any external finishing works.

Delivery & Installation (Week 10). On the final week, we deliver and install your fully complete pod. Services are connected and everything is then thoroughly tested and commissioned, ready to handover.

Please note that a typical build programme for our larger units (CP+2 and CP+3 Pods) spans between 12-14-weeks in total.

Realtime Updates

All of our clients receive read-only access to our project management tool. This includes a live build programme, updated by your project manager, which enables you to track the progress of your modular Changing Places toilet in real-time.

Our Typical Approach

1. Design

We review your site and your objectives, then advise on the most appropriate options, services requirements and foundation system for your modular Changing Places. A breakdown of all associated costs is included.

2. Specification

Choose from a range of internal and external materials and options to finalise your specification (view full list of options here). If required, we will then submit and manage a planning application on your behalf (and build warrant application for any Scottish clients).

3. Manufacture

Once we have formal permission to build and have agreed a start date with you, we start manufacturing your CP Pod at our Doncaster premises. We provide regular photo and video updates, as well as access to a live online build programme.

4. Groundworks

As your pod is nearing completion, we commence groundworks onsite, a couple of weeks prior to delivery. We prepare all services (upgrading them where necessary) and install the most suitable foundation system for your site.

5. Installation

Your pod is delivered and craned into position onsite as a complete unit, which is overseen by your dedicated project manager. Services are commissioned, ground is made good, we agree abd complete any final snags, then handover your new Changing Places facility.

6. Aftercare

Upon completion, we issue your O&M manual, complete with building certificates. We register your facility with the CP Consortium on your behalf, deliver specialist training to any relevant employees, and schedule future maintenance.
