We specialise in complex internal adaptation work, converting existing spaces into fully compliant Changing Places toilets. This work often includes structural alterations, joinery and complex first fix electrical and plumbing works – in addition to the supply and installation of specialist equipment, such as ceiling track hoist systems. If a main contractor has been appointed, we can provide a simple supply and fit service on a sub-contract basis – installing all required specialist equipment within a couple of days. 

We build our prefabricated Changing Places at our facility in Doncaster and deliver them to site as a complete unit. Each facility arrives complete and is ready to use within a couple of days, once all services have been connected and commissioned. Through our extensive network and various partnerships, we can provide a wealth of specialist mobility aids and sensory equipment on a supply only basis, if required.

We work with a select group of professionals across most trades, including a number of qualified plumbers and electricians for our Changing Places projects.

Our joiners not only build our modular facilities, but can also partition and build new structures for many larger adaptations – if you don’t have an existing internal room, we can build one. Our tradespeople can also install a wealth of floor finishes (we typically install safety flooring with coving within our Changing Places), suspended or plasterboard ceilings, and high impact panelling or plaster/paint finish on the walls.

We can provide a range of structural alterations to adapt and open up an existing space. These include structural steelwork; pad stones; concrete and steel lintels; and brick and blockwork alterations.

Our groundworks team work nationwide to provide the foundations and services connections for our modular Changing Places toilets, sensory rooms, and residential extensions. We can also provide a comprehensive groundworks service for larger projects and adaptations, demolishing and removing any existing buildings beforehand, if required.

It’s common for us to organise architectural and/or engineers details on behalf of our clients. We typically work with our partners at Farrar Bamforth Architects and Marsh Design Ltd. to provide these prior to any works commencing.
