What Are Modular Changing Places Combined Toilet Pods?

Modular Changing Places combined toilet pods are a Changing Places facility aimed at businesses who want to demolish their existing toilet facilities to achieve an upgraded, accessible toilet block.

There are several different Changing Places pods available at RISE to suit a variety of different establishments. All of which provide an accessible, hygienic, and safe space for those with profound and multiple disabilities.

CP Pod

A standard Changing Places Pod complies with the guidelines stipulated in BS8300, with the necessary equipment to meet the needs of users with complex disabilities.

The standard CP pod is the most popular modular facility at RISE. They’re built in-house at our Doncaster premises and typically take four weeks to build (lead times are closer to 10- weeks, to account for finalising specifications and ordering materials).

A CP Pod provides sufficient space for wheelchair users and carers and is usually installed outside a facility where standard and/or toilets already exist.

CP+1 Pod

The clue is in the name, the CP+1 pod features a standard Changing Places facility, with a little bit extra. This option is aimed at businesses that want to enhance their standard toilet facilities and meet the needs of those with complex disabilities.

This modular build offers adequate space for a Changing Places toilet with the required equipment, plus a single unisex toilet accessible toilet.

CP+2 Pod

You guessed it, a fully equipped Changing Places facility, plus two additional toilets, all inside one modular built pod. The CP+2 Pod is an 8.4m x 3.4m building, designed to fit three facilities within.

The most requested configuration is two separate accessible toilets, one male and one female. However, at RISE we work with businesses to conclude the best combination of facilities to suit the needs of the business and users. The CP +2 Pod is ideal for businesses or councils that aim to replace existing facilities with a more accessible option.

CP+3 Pod

The CP+3 Pod is the largest modular Changing Places combined toilet pod at RISE at 10.2 m x 3.4m and can incorporate a Changing Places toilet with all the necessary equipment plus facilities that better suit the needs of the business and users.

  Regardless of which modular Changing Places combined toilet pod you choose, you can tailor the internal and external specifications to align with the aesthetics of your establishment (composite cladding, natural timber, brick-slip and render are all common options).
